“He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord.” — Psalm 40:3
On Friday, October 23, 2026, the community of St. Paul’s CSI Congregation in Ahmadi came together in deep gratitude and joy to celebrate its annual Choir Friday service. Centered around the profoundly moving theme “Song for Restoration,” the worship brought an atmosphere of spiritual renewal, highlighting the pivotal role of music in healing, restoring brokenness, and lifting hearts closer to the Divine. The service commenced with a solemn procession led by cross bearer Joe Kurain Ponnattu, setting a reverent tone for the day.
A foundational moment of the service was the dedication and welcoming of newly added members into the choir ministry, marking a season of growth and fresh talent for the church. The newly dedicated members are Johan Thankachen Jeby, Joshua Jeby, Saji Joseph, Adia Susan George, Aida Susan George, Amelia Ann Abraham, and Elaine Mereen Joby.
Following this, the solemn rededication of the existing choir members was beautifully conducted by the vicar, Rev. Koshy Koshy, who prayed over them for sustained faithfulness, unity, and excellence in their continuing musical calling. As a breathtaking centerpiece of the celebration, the entire choir presented a beautiful rendition of the special song “Ennennum Sakhiyaayi,” masterfully conducted by Neha Ann Joji, filling the sanctuary with harmony.
The ministry of the Word was delivered by Jancy Joboy, who shared an inspiring and thought-provoking sermon diving deep into the theme of restoration through song. The liturgy was seamlessly supported by active participation across the congregation, with lessons read by Sydney Dolton, Sheela Jerry, and Vidhu Lenan, and the opening prayer offered by Shiji Dennis. The community shared the Kiss of Peace led by Jerry George and Esther Ann Benjamin, followed by the offertory brought forward by Reuben Koshy and Abigail Kripa Dolton. The holy elements were reverently presented by Ajay Mohan, Laiju Koshy, and Lija Sara Thomas.
The memories of this beautiful milestone were perfectly captured by photographer Nibin Joseph, with technical assistance from Dennis George Mathew who helped coordinate the photography display of the members. The congregation extends its heartfelt appreciation to all choir members, especially the senior choir members, whose steady commitment, guidance, and great support made this celebration a resounding success. May Almighty God continue to bless our choir and congregation abundantly as they carry forward this beautiful ministry of praise.
