Beloved in Christ,
Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
On October first Friday, we are celebrating the second Birth day of our Youth Movement. During the previous years our Youth Movement performed colorful activities. We extend our hearty greetings to our Youth Movement and to its leaders.
The book of Ephesians chapter 4 verse 1 ” I therefore a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all lowliness and meekness with patience for bearing one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.”
The great unity was created in Christ. This is realized in the world through the Church. The Church is the body of Christ and the fulfillment is found by the medium of the Church. In the Church and the Christ Jesus, the divine purpose is to find the consummation to the eternal glory of God. It is the responsibility of the members of the Church for the preservation and manifestation of this unity of the church which the apostles now seeks to enforce. You have been called in to this unity which the apostles now seek to enforce. You, he says, have been called in to this unity which God has created in Christ. You have been called into this commonwealth of privileges, this household of God. you are the stones in this temple, the members of his church. This is your high vocation and if you would be true to it. You must ever be mindful of the whole of which you are part, making your conduct worthy of your incorporation into God’s new man.
It is the mental disposition which promote the right relation of the parts to the whole and to each other. This good relation is indispensable for the right relation to the whole. His experience had taught him that right relationship was necessary to maintain the unity. Lowliness of mind must have been peculiarly impressive to the converts from heathenism. To the Greek mind, humanity was little less than a vice of nature. It was weak and mean spirited, it was the temper of the slave, it was incompetent with the self respect, which every true man owned to himself. According to him the fullness of life left no room for humility.
It was left to Christianity to show a conception of fullness of life in which service and sacrifice were regarded as the highest manifestation of power, whether human or divine. The Jew had learned this lesson. Isaiah 57:15 “The Lord dwells with him that is of contrite and humble spirit”. The highest life, in the fullest consciousness of its power, expressed itself in acts of deepest humility. Our Lord taught this lesson by the washing of the disciples feet. In Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus”. Lowliness of mind and meekness are the first requisites of this unity. The Christian must maintain this unity and oneness.
