“Train up a child in the way he should go. And even when he is old he will not depart from it ” Proverbs 22:6
The Sunday School program and curriculum are dedicated to imparting the inspired teachings of God’s Word and connecting these teachings to the personal journeys of each child as they embark on the path of discipleship following Jesus Christ.
On the auspicious morning of September 6th, 2002, a deeply cherished aspiration of the CSI Congregation members and well-wishers in Ahmadi was realized. This momentous achievement was made possible through the grace of the Almighty, the prayerful support of the vicar, and the visionary efforts of K. A. Mathew, the headmaster. Prior to this, our children had been attending the Sunday School associated with the Malayalee Christian Congregation (MCC). Establishing a dedicated Sunday School under the banner of St. Paul’s CSI Congregation, Ahmadi had been a cherished dream for a considerable duration. Initially enrolling only 22 students, we have, by the blessings of God, now grown to accommodate around 40 children aged between 4 and 16. Guided by the capable leadership of Mr. Facin A. Mathai, a devoted team of teachers currently oversees the program. Classes are held every Friday from 12:45 pm to 02:00 pm. Our curriculum aligns with the syllabus developed and published by the CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese.
The primary objective of the Sunday School is to lead each child to Jesus, fostering a genuine application of biblical teachings in their daily lives. Recognizing that childhood constitutes a crucial stage for nurturing a foundation for victorious Christian living, the Church assigns paramount significance to the Sunday School ministry. In a world characterized by chaos, calamities, and discontentment, negative influences seem more pervasive than ever. Amidst this, darkness at times overshadows the light of day. This underscores the urgency of nurturing the next generation for God’s kingdom. An authentic Christian should be able to discern the profound value of the Lamb’s sacrificial blood shed at Calvary for the redemption of humankind.
Together, let us fulfil God’s divine will through successive generations. May God’s blessings be upon you!
