Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We celebrate the “Almaya day ” in the month of August. Very happy to say that our church is now growing through various organizations. Last year we could start the Youth Movement in our church. Now we organized the Almaya Fellowship. All are welcome for the first worship, which will be conducted under the leadership of Almaya Fellowship on Friday 7th August.
The New Testament emphasis that the disciples should bear witness. Jesus during his life time send his disciples . The early church was aware that Christ gave the commission to preach the gospel to the entire world.
“ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost” (Mathew 28: 18 – 20). Evangelism should be in the context of Christ’s victory and sovereignty and his continued presence in the world. Apart from this assurance, the commission has no meaning.
The following are the prime tasks of the Church.
(1) Making disciples.
(2) Leading them to membership in the fellowship, so that the life may continually be renewed through obedience to Christ’s commandments. As per Luke’s statement in Acts, this commission is given at the meeting of the apostles of the risen Lord.
(3) Fulfillment of the Messianic Mission. The emphasis is the promise to the disciples that they would receive the power of the Holy Spirit. The witnessing would spread through out the world. Witnessing to Christ means the witnessing through words and deeds.
