Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We thank God for providing grace and blessings in the previous month. We conducted the first youth conference in July 2016 under the leadership of youth movement in our Church. It was the most amazing program in our Church history. We appreciate all youth members and the youth leaders for conducting such a blessed program. In the first week of August we will celebrate the Almaya Fellowship Day. It is the first birthday of Almaya Fellowship of our Church. We express our hearty greetings to all Almaya Fellowship members and leaders. Here I wish to reveal the origin of professional fellowship in the Diocese.
A retreat was organized at Buchanan Institution, Pallom for those who were working in various institutions on, 9 th August 1975 . At the business session of this meeting, it was decided to form the Professional Fellowship and elected Rev. M. C. Mani as its president and M. C. Andrews as secretary. It was also decided to conduct zonal conferences once in three months. Today it is one of the best organizations in the Diocese, having units in almost all the Churches. Professional Fellowship is publishing a monthly periodical named “Almaya Sandesam” in which the articles are mainly contributed by the laity.
We are proud because our Church also a part of the Professional Fellowship. The main aim of the organization is Evangelism. Mathew 28: 18 – 20 …. “Go ye there fore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost”… in the contest of Christ’s victory and sovereignty and His continued presence in the world. Apart from this assurance, the commission has no meaning.
The Church have three tasks. First of all Making disciples, Second one Leading them to membership in the Fellowship. Third one Fulfillment of the Messianic Mission. If we follow these three steps the Church will grow more and more.
