Beloved in Christ,
Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we are entering the new month, let us thank God for all His blessings throughout the last month. Let us depend on God’s grace and blessings to be with us as we live each day.
The Good Life: Beauty, wealth, love, marriage and pleasure are all good things, but they are not the best. The best is, loving God and taking in His love – bringing Him Glory and making Him our friend for life. That leads to the best possible life because it gives us satisfaction and joy always (John 10: 10), and it is what Christians are going to be doing for ever.
That is why we should find time for God and rest in His love – the love that made you and me. It is the reason for our existence and the means by which we will make the most of our life.
I like the way the Palmist put it: “ It is good for me to draw near to God, I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all your works” (Psalm 73: 28). In other words, the good life is drawing close to the one who loves us like no other.
And how can we “draw close to Him? Her is a practice I began many years ago. Take a few minutes every morning to read some verses from the Gospels – ”Mathew, Mark, Luke and John” and make note of what Jesus said or did. After all, He came to show us what God is like (Hebrews 11: 1 – 3). Put yourself in the story – For example in the place of the leper. He was healed by His loving touch (Mark 1: 40 – 45). Think about how much He loves you and then thank Him. The wonder of it all – just to think that Jesus loves us!
Rev. Dr. Jacob Chacko ,who was nominated as the Parish Priest for Ahmadi Parish will no longer be coming to Kuwait. Rev. Levin Koshy of Chengannur Church has been appointed in his place and will be coming to Kuwait soon along with his wife, Priya Kochamma and their son Nathan. We warmly welcome Levin Achen and family to Kuwait.
We wish all those travelling on holidays, a safe journey and good time with their loved ones. Let us make every new day a blessed and happy day along the path of peace.
May God bless you all
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Johnson Alexander
