Beloved in Christ,
Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Let us thank and praise God for His providence and guidance in the past days.
We have come now to Christ’s day of glorious triumph. “Up from the grave, He rose, with a mighty triumph over His foes. He arose the victor of the dark domain, and He lives forever with His saints to reign. He arose, He arose, Hallelujah Christ arose!“ Thus we proclaim as we sing the great Gospel hymn. But, what does the resurrection really mean to you and me? We need to take it personally. Let me share with you some of the points that the resurrection of Christ means to me.
1. It means that God is greater than evil
It might appear some times that evil triumphs and I am sure that it appeared same way on the day of crucifiction, yet, a new day was dawning, a day of glorious victory and triumph for the Lord Jesus Christ.
It appeared that Satan had won in the garden of Eden, when he enticed mankind to rebel against God, but God immediately promised a Redeemer as in Genesis 3: 15. It appeared that Satan had won in the days of Noah, when the thoughts and intents of men’s hearts were set on evil continually, yet Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord and the human race was rescued. It appeared that Satan had won when Jesus was led to the cross and crucified, but Easter Sunday changed all that!
2. It means that Grace is greater than all our sins
As the scripture declares, “ where sin is abounded, grace did much more abound”. Christ’s perfect sacrifice of Himself, and His pure, holy blood, cleanses us from all our sin, if we believe in Him.
3. It means that Love is stronger than hate
The hatred of unbelievers of Christ is clearly revealed at the cross, but God’s love is greater than human hate. Jesus prayed “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” There is a length, breadth, depth and height to the love of God that cannot be fathomed.
4. It means that Life is stronger than death
The life I have reference to is the eternal life found only in Christ. He is the light of the world and He overcame the darkness. Death is a formidable foe, but Jesus has taken its sting away. Praise God. If a man die, he can and will live again, if he knows Jesus, for whoever believes in Him shall never die.
Yours in Christ,
