Life is a Journey

Dearly Loved ones in Christ,

Greetings in the name of our precious Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Let us thank and praise God for His providence and guidance in the past days.

Life is always compared to a journey. Journey by road, air or water has all kinds of experiences.Joy Struggle, risks, pleasure, problems and confusion. So it is always preferable to have a good company for the Journey, especially when the Journey is too long. Jesus is the best Companion for Life Journey: A Life Journey is a journey of faith. Jesus himself said in Jn. 14:6 I am the way, the truth and the life.
Luke. 24:13-35, this scripture portion gives us the true picture of a believer’s Life journey.Journey in Confusion: In Luke 24:12, we see that the two disciples travelling to Emmaus had confusion. Of course they are the believers of Christ and followers of Christ, yet they had tension between faith and reality. In their own words they said “We are hoping that it was he, who is going to redeem Israel”. That means, redeemer, but now….there is confusion, whether he will redeem or not? Whether he lives or dead? Luke 24:12

Why this confusion?Because they don’t probably understand the Scriptures. Jesus called them as foolish ones and slow of heart to believe.Because the lack of understanding of the Scripture and lack of faith in God makes our Journey confused and tensed Journey with Clarity:The same persons get clarity, when Jesus joined in their journey. Jesus explained the scriptures. The two disciples patiently listened to Jesus and prayed to Jesus to abide with them. If you want clarity in your Journey, listen to Jesus and ask him to abide in you.

Journey with Confidence:When they sat with Jesus at the table, he took the bread and blessed. Then their eyes were opened and they knew him (Luke 24:31).As soon as they knew Jesus, they were strengthened and confidentially returned to Jerusalem to proclaim the Good news. They found the eleven and those who were with them. They all gathered to gathered saying “The Lord is risen indeed (Luke 24:34) when we have the personal relationship with Jesus ,our journey will become a confident journey.

Those two persons could have walked and talked for hours and never got rid of their confusion, because they lacked the key that unlocks the Old Testament. Messiah must suffer and die before
entering his glory. Their hearts burned as they heard HIM teach the scriptures and soon the mourners became the missionaries and shared the good news with others. Do you allow Jesus and the Holy Spirit to teach you so that your journey will be a confident journey.

Loving yours,
Johnyachen
